Replacement of Lights on 2002 Acura CL Type S
Hey all
I i just got my first car and its an 2002 Acura CL Type S.
I would like to replace those 2 parking light at the bottom of the front bumper with some bright fog lights. I dont know the purpose of these lights because they are very dim (5 Watt Peanut bulbs) and i hate look of them.
I am open to any suggestions on how to modify them or a replacement of any sort.

is there any replacement bulb or any light that wont melt the housing but be a bit brighter and a while light. I am just looking for a white light bulb around the 15 to 30 watt range that can fit in the existing setup. I simply dont like that orange little peanut bulb.

Also search for "road lamps" There are options, but nothing that great besides replacement to something aftermarket. One member installed 5W LED's said it was an improvement.

You can use a 921 bulb in that housing. That's what I'm running now. They are larger and brighter at 12 watts but it's a tight fit in the bulb hole. PIAA offers a bright white 921 bulb that close in color to our HIDs and Nokya offers the 921 in yellow for that fog light look.

I have found these to match our HID's perfectly.
i got ones similar to those in my car... proginally i got ones that were almost identical to those but then they overheated and stopped working. LEDs are very sensitive to heat, so u won't melt ur housings, but u may generate too much heat thus killing the bulb.
mine lasted 6 days in my car.... POS they were..
so i got smaller ones
the ones i had are this add

the ones i got now are like these if i recall correctly

also keep in mind the hole to put the light into the housing is DAM small. the LEDs i originally got BARELY fit in... i literally had to press them in cause they were 1/32" wider than the housing hole....
so just beware
