Question replace higher wattage bulbs...

hey there,
for those of you who are electricians, i have a question for you. i recently installed a piaa driving light (altho i use it as fog light), and it's of H3 and 35watt bulb type. however i think the light emitted is not bright, or white enough, so i am looking at this set of replacement bulbs that are of 55watt that's much brighter, and whiter. i heard two diff. stories about putting a higher wattage bulbs, some say it will melt the housing, and damage the harness, and some say not. so what really is the deal? (my harness is not of acura, but piaa) thanks.

It is possible to melt the housing by putting in a higher-than-recommended wattage bulb. The only way to really find out is trial and error or by other reviews.

yea, i installed those fogs by myself, and it was fairly simple, if you follow the instruction very carefully, and did some research on where exactly things are located in your car. if you need any help, let me know, be glad to help.
