remove tint, or reapply?

I should be getting my car back from the shop in another day. Everyone pretty much knows I'll be getting rid of my car in the next few weeks or so, should I reapply tint in the rear windshield, or should I remove the tint from the other windows? What do you guys think?

Just reapply it. Removing it will leave a slightly cloudy cast that cannot be removed. It's what would be left of the adhiesive that's in the pores of the glass.

If you wanted to help the re-sale value....you could strip the fronts and sides....the back window is the hardest to tint or strip!

I agree with you nicky, I would rather take off the tints in the front and the sides since the back window wont be tinted. But is there any validity with what pappy said? If it looks wack with the tints removed, I might as well just tint the back window...

Remove it. I never heard of this residue and I have removed tint from one of my cars before. There are pores in glass though so i'm not totally doubting the statement.

pores??...in glass??... I took the tint off my front windows..it left glue/adhesive on the window. You need hot water and soap to scrub it off. It took me 45 minutes to do both windows.

I sell car, house and commercial tint film for a living. I have seen alot of tint removed from cars. There is a slight residue left when the tint is removed. You cannot remove it. Some cases are worse than others. You could remove the tint, clean the windows, then make a determination.

those bastards at the autobody shop retinted my back window even though I told them not too...... idiots dont communicate to one another. Worse thing is that they tinted over the dot matrix..... they said it looked fine though, I'll see for myself when I get it back.........
