Remote Start Alarm Install
Remote Start Alarm Install
I know this is an Acura Forum but I'm hoping you can help me out.
My girl has a 97 Civic EX with the with the factory alarm (connected above factory deck) with keyless entry.
How do I can around that to install and aftermarket alarm/remote starter? Just unplug the alarm module above the facotry deck and leave it unpluged?
Also, what are the wire color codes for this vehicle?

Ok then. Can I just unplug the harness in the back of the factory alarm and leave it out? Will the radio still work?
Also, I want the remotestart/alarm remote to control the keyless entry in the car. So as long as I hook up the unit to the correct wires, I can leave the factory one unplugged and use the new one?
