Has anyone ever tried this? I recently did the 100k timing belt with no problems and since i am out of work...figured i would try to bebuild the trans, too..(since it has been dead for a month)

Would love some tips or help from anyone who has done this or heard about it. I searched all over this thing and couldnt find anything.

Plenty of people have had their trannies rebuilt. Not many have done it themselves.

I think your best bet is to locate a 3rd gen tranny and swap that in instead. You shouldnt have to worry about a rebuild again.
