I raced my friends 01 manual Cobra up to 100 mph and lost by one car. I have comptech intake, comptech headers, test pipe, and comptech mufflers, and a clutch that is slightly slipping, he has Intake/headers/pulleys/exhaust and 410 gears with 10 inch tires on his rear. My clutch acts like its granny shifting especially shifting to 3rd gear. All in all with a new clutch it'll be closer but I know I still wont beat him.

If it was the factory S/C cobra...he would of been home and would of ate dinner by the time you were in 6th. lol

 

he was playing with you, there is no way you could touch a 12 second or better car.

 

01 Cobra's were not SC'ed. Only 2003 and 2004's were sc'ed.

Even in N/A with thoes mods I'd agree he was playing with you.

 

Guess what......... he wasnt playing with me. Its a friend of mine. Even after the race he was saying that his car was running really strong and that he had no excuses, he just couldnt believe that I stayed with him that long. He was in shock more than I was. And its not like we only had one run, we ran a couple of times from a stop and from a roll. But I mean once I hit 90mph he was steadily walking me, so yeah his car is faster. But an 01 COBRA stock runs a steady 14 flat. An 03 CL-S manual at best can run a flat 14. So with his mods compared to mine would equal the kind of race we had. His car might of ran high 12's at the track but on the street there is a difference, not much but enough for me to hang with him for a good amount IF my car runs high 13's.
