Rearview Mirror Probs
Has anybody rearview mirror come undone? Mine is hanging by the wire. I tried to put the mirror back in place but it just keeps coming undone. Anyway to fix? How much should Acura charge for something like this?

I have a warrenty but if i dont use it then i get my 2000 dollars back, so i rather not use my warrenty on such a little expense. So i was just curious on how to fix this myself, or an estimated price a dealership would charge? Or if an auto glass place will fix it for a fraction of the price?

It is a Safety Item an Acura should replace for FREE. No Warranty Claim involved.

I went down to the seattle acura dealership today and it sounds like they want to charge me up to $200 to fix the clip. I didnt read any of this safety info before i went down there.
Any advice what to do or say?
The only problem i m afraid of running into is that my window might of been replaced before i bought my car from . I told the guy i dont know if my window has been replaced or not but i bought my car from a volvo dealership "as is"
Any advice what to do or say?

Well I went to Acura of Seattle and I guess they had to replace the clip that holds on the rear view mirror. The cost was 4 dollars for the clip, and 25 dollars for installation. Which isnt that bad compared to there $600 60k mile tune-up. Anyways, they said that a rear view mirror isnt considered safety equipment. They say safety equipment is any ABS, seatbelts, Airbag and etc.

I have a question about the side rear view mirrors. I bought my car used so I'm not sure if my drivers side rear mirror is working correctly? When I but my car in reverse only the passenger side mirror tilts down. Is that normal for only the passenger side to do that or are they both suppose to go down when the car is in reverse?
Thanks
Thanks
