Smile Rearview mirror

My rear view mirror is leaking silicon. Does anyone here know how to remove the old mirror? Someone told me to wiggle side-to-side and should slide down. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to replace with a new one. I just couldn't get the old one out. Did you replace by yourself or dealer?

I replaced mine a couple weeks ago and this thread helped a lot, read the first reply and it pretty much guides you step by step. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ar+view+mirror

Take it in and have the dealer replace it. They did mine for free.

note: I removed mirror from the winshield first and only needed a screwdriver that i wrapped in a towel. There is a small tab in the mirror assembly that is facing the windshield. While pushing this tab towards the windshield, I used the screwdriver(using the interior light assembly as leverage point) I pushed up on the screwdriver, pushing the mirror down off the windshield. Either way you do it, be VERY careful not to break the windshield.
