There is something wrong there. The rears should last 1 1/2 to twice as long as the fronts. All the braking happens up front on a FWD. I've never ever had rears go first. By the way, unless you drive like a maniac, the fronts should at least go 40-50K even with an auto tranny.

40-50K? Wow that would be pushing it...Especially in our heavy ass cars....OEM breaks on the CL-S suck....For the fronts Id say 15-20K Max if you drive aggresive at all

I am at 34k and I have yet to replace the rears

40 k on the rears

20-30 fronts, depending on your driving "technique"

150 is about right from dealer

i have had 2 fwd's where the fronts outlasted the rears, depends on brake bias setup

If the brake bias is set toward the rear enough on a FWD for them to wear out first, you're going to spend a lot of time using the rear view mirror to drive forward!

Currently, I have 47K and my rear pads is only about half worn. You can easily do a visual check on the rear without removing the tires I am almost sure that the rear pads will last about 70K.

The rear pads require a special tool, similar to VW, to remove the pads. So get the tool first before starting the job!!!

I'm doing my rears today at 65K.

Special tool to remove the pads? or special tool to push-in the piston?

The pads came right out but the piston doesn't "push"....there's a big slot on it.....maybe it "twists" in? My old Fiat is like that....it's a screw design rather than a straight piston.

The rear? Not the fronts? Do you drive with your left foot on the brake? When my left the stable it had 35,000 miles on the orig pads.
