RE730 -vs- S03 Pix Inside

Hey all,

I just swapped out the PolePosition S03 for the RE730. Here are the Before amd after shots for look and tread pattern on the CLS. I havent broken them in yet but the initial reaction I have is better staight line acceleration traction and *slightly* poorer handling....

NICE! 730's are pretty aggressive!

Any plans for light weight rims?

Would you go with a 16 diameter and a wider tire?

I'm assuming the handling is a little worse than the S03's, but much better than our stock michelins right?

Yeah, I've already burned through at set of RE730's. I was appauled at how loud they got as they aged. It might be the load rating issue that caused the poor wear on the 225's. When I took them off after 22000 miles they were chewed to shreads and did not look safe at all.

Sticky as hell though and pretty good in the rain.

I wouldn't buy them again just because of the road noise issue and because I'm not sure they are up to handling our big girl's heft.

Zapata: In laymens terms the smaller the tire the lighter the wheel and the more rpm's the travel at which = more speed

CLS16: There is no comparison between the Michelins and the Bridgestone S03's, Yokohama AVS Sport, and Bridgestone RE730's .... worlds apart they each feel 10x better then stock.

Moomaster: Im debating the Nex Coil-overs -vs- the Zeal B6 ... not sure if the $$ is justifiable for the Zeals when im just really looking for adjustable drop.....

:P I know this....

I'm asking if you would go with a wider 16 inch tire? YOu know like a 7.5 instead of a 7.

I really doubt id do a 16" unless for the track .. in which case i would go to a 7.5 or 8 if i can shoehorn it in there...

Zapata: OK thanks ill get cracking on a decision...

I think I'm going to get the RE730's as soon as the "winter" comes to an end. How long do you think they last on an average?

That's not very long at all. If I drive as hard as you do, I might have to rethink this one.
