i changed my plugs in december, may have overtightened but i don't think that would cause this?

I would say so. That's where the cat is. Too many coincidences.

cel = censors(codes). ex--oxygen censor is not reading right (not enough oxygen gettin to the engine) a CEL goes off. Your ecu (brain) picks this up and ends up telling you there is something wrong by way of gauge light.

His misfires in his cyc. are do to the wrong combination of fuel, oil, air... combustion and in turn the cyc. does not fire correctly, again sending a message (CEL sode) to the ecu

each CEL code means a different problem like stated before, TypeR said 1399 means his cat. is not operating properly, so on and so forth

you read them by... im not sure about the CLS but for the honda prelude you connect to wires under the stereo and the engine light would blink a certain amount of times and at different rates giving you a numer of which CEL youd had thrown (ex. 1399).

im rambling....

Maybe your plugs are not the correct heat range, or something's wrong with them, or the coils. To get misfires on almost all your cylinders, & have it intermittent points to the plugs or coils. The cat code could be related. Or could be bad now because of the misfires.
If it was a rod or cylinder damage, it would be consistant, & your MPG would have dropped.

PM me for phone#, don't wanna mess with moderators.
They build rotarys (RX7s) but there is a guy, Dusty, who KNOWS honda engines, I've seen his work in person. I am probably going to let them do my 3.5L stroker. He estimated at a week if I had all the parts.

$75 for 3 runs w/ AFR, a bit pricey but in NY that's not bad.
