Dude, this is what happened. Around 12:15 about 20 cops and the bird blocked in the whole meadows. No one, and I mean no one with a car got away. A few bikes did. 269$ for everyone even spectators. This had to be planned very well and Philly's finest did ( dont't wanna say it) GOOOD!!! Philly scenes gonna be dead for a while.

Unlawful assembly or something to that effect. There was an article about street racing in Cali after Furious came out. Apparently that's how they discourage street racing is to ticket the spectators. No fans, no race ... Totaly bullshit of course but that's never stopped the federales before =)

Oh was that law just a CA thing? I thought it was for the united states, but anyways yeah it just basically means that if you are caught watching the races, then you are willingly watching an illegal racing event. You don't even have to have your car...if you do, they will tow it or give you a ticket that costs even more!

well sure, more in cali cause we live here, but this shit happens all over the united states. Just out here in so cal..it happens so much cause we race so much. Most areas go off in 1-2 spots on friday and saturday nights or so.

out here we race in about 8 different spots on the weekends each night. ANd atleast 3 spots each week night

and we'll get like a 40 car minumum. For some places thats a good turn out. I've seen a good 200 cars on weds nights sometimes.

..They said like 200+ people were arrested. Oh and the best part is they plan to have the court hearings all on the same day to show the traffic court judge that this is a "major problem". Such BS!!! This has been going on for years and people will still
continue to test/ race cars safely- away from the general traffic and not on the expressways.

yes $269 for everyone even spectators. i wanna know if you'd get arrested for just walking along th sidewalk to go to the club or something and didnt even know about it??? Yea front st. used to race to and so did market st. philly will be dead and so of the true racers blame it on the young ricers and their antics, and i dont blame them. theres a lot of young kids out there that are ruining it for everyone all because their trying to show off. violence is also being a key factor. jus a few days ago some big black dude kicked the shit outta this lttle white boy for running into his acura and then this puerto rican guy told the black guy to come behing this place and fight him but the blak guy didnt cuz the other guy had a gun in his pants, it's horrible and high st. is loaded with cops now and is mostly a car show, no races
