Radiator transplant?

I've been looking for an aluminum 2 or 3 core radiator. However, I have been unsuccessful at finding one that is a direct replacement. Does anyone know what other radiators would fit the support without moving the hoses much? I know the accord isn't close... But I've been looking at BB4 Preludes as it only appears to move the cap directly over the upper hose.

Before it goes there, I know I don't have a race car or anything close to that, but unfortunately, I live in a climate that the car (with a new thermostat & water pump) still over heats in heavy traffic on occasion. Plus, this would help overall with engine temps and works as a preventive measure as well. Plus an aluminum radiator usually looks pretty too. It can't hurt.

EDIT:Nevermind about the BB4, the bottom hose is on the opposite side and 1-3/4" shorter...

I just messaged CXRacing to see if they would be able to fab a few. I've ran their radiators before and had great results. Plus, with the dimensions being so close to the 03 Accords (CL-S; 28.25x16.75 core: Accord 3.0; 28.25x14.75 core) they may be able to make it happen.

edit: the Accord is 1" thick factory while ours is listed as 5/8". Bump that to 2" aluminum and there should be a world of difference.

It's not a direct replacement, but I have had a CSF aluminium radiator in my CL-S6 since 2007 and have not had any problems with it thus far. Not many people like CSF; however, this radiator has done me no wrong. Refer to post #10 on the thread below for info:

Here is another thread with some good discussion:

For this very reason, when my OEM took a crap, I bought this aluminium radiator and it has worked well in heavy stop-and-go traffic with the additional heat strain of a S/C'er cooking under the hood.

I dont know if they will want to deal with this headache again, and I for some reason think when I get it back it still wont fit. If you want to talk to them and send in your stock radiator then it might get made properly. If it dsnt fit tho you cant ask for a refund which sucks casue I just want my money back.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. I'm hoping that CXRacing will have something as they were able to do a custom 3 row for my old civic for only $25 more than their 2 row was ($135 including shipping) so I'm thinking since their 03 Accord is $165, I would hope they could do it for about $200. Keeping my fingers crossed. Miss my fluidyne, but they don't have just about anything anymore and custom through them will range closer to $600.

After replacing fluid 3 times and paying to use my shops lift, mine will cost me probably that much.

You've got some other problems going on if your car still overheats in heavy traffic even after replacing the thermostat & water pump. My car is from Texas and sitting in +100ºheat in traffic for hours it never got over 1/2 on the temp gauge.

It's not over heating, as much as just going to a bit over half until traffic starts movie. Last week was 102 & 100% humidity.... It sucked!

My car never goes above 195* in traffic (OBD verified), but Im running a lower temp t-stat, fan switch and uprated rad cap.

A better radiator isn't going to help you. You need to fix your cooling system. Please see the FAQ about the mugen cooling mods. These should help things. Lower temp tstat, lower temp fan switch & higher pressure rad cap. And look into some spacers for your intake.
