Raced a cl-s yesterday....
on CA-13 and won....
I don't think its the cars fault though, the guy was afraid to take some easy turns at 120. Also once I hit 110, I just lost him. If any of you were racing a blue stang yesterday on CA-13 toward 580, be aware that once you reach 90mph , you can still press the gas, and its OK to take those turns a little faster.

Why does everyone get so bent out of shape when they say ANYTHING even remotely negative about a CL-S? Damn, the guy was saying he beat a CL-S with a crappy/scared/not racing driver with his stang. Hahaha... I actually drive a Stang... Mustangs owners arent the sharpest knives in the drawer, for the most part.
I just dont like it when people rip and his car for no reason.
Anyway, I saw a FAT CL-S about a month ago. It was black with a spoiler and aftermarket rims, lowered. Wow, it was VERY nice. Probably the ONLY fixed up CL-S/TL-S I have ever seen. Actually, definitely the only one.
BTW, I plan on buying a TL-S in the next couple of months.
Back to Mustangs, they are easily THE craziest drivers out there. Many people I know feel the same way, and I would say they are always out to race. Damn, I get so many people wanting to race me in their car, trying to flash on me, its unbelievable. Stang drivers are nuts and when you get one you turn into a nut, too!
Some more useless info... mine has 94K (it's a 94) and really has been GREAT for me. No problems at all, except that I just replaced the A/C... it ran me about 800 bucks for that and another minor thing. I'm very surprised at how solid they built them. I've driven mine very hard for over 5 years now. The 94's and up have better reliability and are more solid than most people think.

But my point was stock vs. stock. The type-S comes close to holding with a stock GT while civics are a plain joke (stock).
I think its you that needs to get out more and go race a civic and realize we are in two different classes. Honestly, if i wanted to race civics, i would have saved the money, bought a civic and modded the hell out of it.
