quick v2 question
quick v2 question
my friend is trying to sell me his intake.
it's a aem v2 part number 24-6016 i know it's for the 01-03 CL but i was wondering if it will fit my 03 cl-s 6 speed..or is there anyway i can fit it with some modification??
Thanks Guys!!

Oh, BTW, I wouldn't suggest a SRI for the CL-S, from experience putting on the Weapon-R intake which is basically the same as the V2, unless you don't mind a loud humming UFO-type noise at idol. I would go CAI.

The tubes are longer than for a Type-S since the base model does not have VSA, and the tubing is smaller to fit the base models smaller throttle body.
Its not worth it to make it fit as you will see no difference in gains over a regular AEM intake.

On topic, though, might want to conisder removing the resonator and getting a K&N drop-in filter.

the V2 is a full CAI
Sheit, I thought the V2 was a SRI that was supposed to give the HP of a CAI but keep the filter inside. Oh well I guess getting
daily will make you think these things.

there's multiple versions of it for different cars to maximize gains so some are short ram and others coldair
and sick avatar btw

i'm pretty sure all of them have the dual diameter piping for the sound chamber thing
maybe you just have the regular cai?

I could make a full time job out of making aviators... Lord Helmet is using my CL 4x4 as his aviator. Gotta brainstorm for my next one. Maybe a CL speedboat?

from the AEM website: "The AEM V2 utilizes a dual chamber (using two different diameters and lengths of piping) that creates multiple frequency sound waves to produce the largest area under the curve of any intake system on the market. These sound waves help charge the cylinders with more air throughout the entire rpm range and are what enables the V2 to outperform even our own Cold Air systems.

the V2 intake only fits CL-P's, not 6speeds
