quick question about j37 intake manifold

ok i have done a lot of research on this. but i cant find an answer. tomorrow i plan on going to acura to purchase some parts. i figured i want to buy a couple parts each paycheck and then put them all on. So due to the height difference in the 09 manifold(4wd) vs ours(types) people talk about less torque. would the odyssey spacer be compatible with the newer manifold?(thus solving the torque issue)and also since the new manifold is shorter i figured there would be more chances of hood clearance. all in all i don't want to buy the spacer if it is not compatible.

spacer is compatible with the 09.
You might lose tq off the line with the spacer but,it should give you beter mid-top end power.
Far as it fitting under the hood ?
I've been waiting for measurements for over 2 months , "CIVIC".
So I deceided to just blow out my clp manifold since it's shorter in height than the type s for now.
Most likely you would have to modify something to get a good fit.

Yea, they wont have it in stock. E30Cabrio and I were the first to do it to a CL.

You wont lose any torque. If you look in the mega thread (20 pages) I believe page 18 or 19 has a dyno graph. That was on my engine, which had issues (worn cams, broken rockers, vacuum leak, bad spark plugs).

The engine is currently getting rebuilt. Once its broken in Im going to the dyno and doing another before and after run to get a better look at gains.

Keep in mind, the stock throttle body is choking these motors. Even the bored throttle body isnt providing enough air. To really get alot of power out of it, you need an 80mm (matched to instake manifold) throttle body. That will keep making power past 5k rpms, whereas the stock will not.

^ u sure about that? a STOCK CLS motor makes max power all the way up at 6100 and just by adding headers it gets moved to 6600 rpm.......so you must be talking about a non cls= oh, wait those make power peaks past 5K as well.......

Uhhhh, read what I said.

I was talking about the 09 TL manifold. The throttle body (even my bored CL-S tb) is choking it. The manifold bore is 80mm, the CLs throttle body is 70mm at the outlet. Theres 5mm all around the bore that isnt being used. Js love to breathe.

Theres no need to sound like a dick when youre trying to refute my claims.

I did read what you said and you are wrong.....that's all there is to it. now if you had said something like "a larger TB will help you realise even more power over 5K" then you would have been more accurate in your statement

"That will keep making power past 5k rpms, whereas the stock will not."

The fact is that both engines continue to make power well above 5K even on stock TBs so please when you tell people things be accurate as your statement is total bs....

kinda thread jack... sorry
does anyone know if the 09 IM with MDX spacer will fit under the hood with no spacing issues?? I think I asked this before but it wasn't answered. Both of these combined would make for decent gains.
ANNND I just thought, is there a bigger TB we could use with the 09 IM, I reallly want to do this mod.

oh, well I hope it fits that would be so awsome.
if it didn't I think some one should make a fiberglass that would fit, similar to what eagle talons have, that would be pretty sick as well

those little humps are actually to clear the exhaust cam gear and still have room for the engine to move, but yeah same basic idea

It was just getting rebuilt. No valves were bent, they were just out of spec. My tranny had some issues. The cams were worn. It was a well-worn 104k miles J32.

Now its a 3.6 stroker. Where you been?

Its in the car and running, I should have it back Saturday morning. I cant wait
