Um, it really sounds like a no-brainer. I don't have sways (yet) but chances are you just need to goop on another 1/2 lb of KY to get the squeaks out. Of course, I'd just take the car back to the dealership that took my good hard-earned money to do the job correctly.

I wrapped the bearing area with teflon tape before installation. Never heard "squeeking". Once when exiting a steep driveway, there was a metallic "tink" metal on metal sound from the rear. Since it has not reaccured I haven't investigated. You might get it looked at as the dealer is responsible for proper install. Luck.

The installer either didn't or didn't put enough teflon tape around the bushings on the rear sways.
TAKE IT BACK. If they put your car on the lift, look at the rear sway bar and the bushings (there are two of them, mine are red) encircle the bar. They need to put as much teflon tape as possible where the bushings meet the rear sway bar.
I know all this because I got mine installed and no squeaking. Then after about 3 months, horrible squeaking from the rear over any bump. The teflon tape around the bar had wore out. It took the mechanic not even 10 minutes to remove the bushings, re-wrap the sway bar with a lot of teflon tape, and reassembe the whole thing. Very simple procedure.
Arm yourself with this info and go back to the installer. This is an EASY fix. Good luck.

hmmm..ok well i had a discussion with my dealer about this...he says that the telflon tape will wear out over time, and that that isn't the answer..comptech should have some other fix for it..has anyone had to replace the tape after the 1st time it was put on?

the tape is NOT the answer...it's a temp fix only...grease the focker up more!!! and use ordinary car grease...there's been a few threads already discussing this issue, so yer not alone...car grease the poly. bushings, and yer good to go

can anyone post pics of the sways installed with the TEFLON TAPE?...
and since the sways make your car stiffer.. you should be able to take corners at higher speeds right?... is that a correct assumption?
