Just trying to get an idea of what other cars to consider other than the cl-s. the only thing that comes to mind is the new accord coupe. but i would rather spend the extra 3K for the acura. the only requirements is that must have a manual tranny, and around 25K or so. thanks

2 or 4 doors, not too big a deal. main thing is manual tranny, and leather interior. i really want the cl-s 6 speed, but dont want to get in over my head with car payments. thats why i am weighing other options. but i really think that i make enough to afford the cl-s with 50k / yr. my pops just isnt going for it though

 

50K a year? My payments are $625, supposed to make 2-3 times your total car price, 30K car, 60-90K a year. You should get a kia rio, maybe an Optima.

i had a 98 a4 1.8t they suck...for reference.......i'd have to say i'd go 2k2 max in 6 spd best competition for our car

 

i was considering the Subaru Impreza WRX for a long time, but decided to get the CL type S cuz it has better style and interior which the chics dig.....but the WRX has killa performance, and with the STI flava coming out soon, sheeesh...

I see the new TL would be up a bit in price and features, the Accord loaded is at the TL price level... to compete with the camries and the maxis....

I see that the there is a small TL sister, the the Euro Accord... so TL would be in uper 30s,...

If not I will look into the 2004 S4!

 

This is what I would go with.. either a WRX and mod it... or wait for the STi. Either should be obtainable for your price range.

If the WRX came with leather I would have bought it (I know, I'm a little bitch). I'd love to scoop one up as a winter car.. but alas... I have no money

 

Consider leasing - @ 50K per year, leasing would gie you an easy to live w/ payment. Just do your homework and know what you are getting into as far as a lease is concened.

hmmm I thouht this guy wanted cars around 25K I see people saying get an M3... hardly close to 25K more like over double it... and suggesting used cars? well there's a buttload of used cars you could get that are monsters... If it was a used car I'd say look for a '96 or '95 Supra TT 6speed or 5speed(you won't get a '97 with low mileage for that price)... reliable cars, power monsters, looks great... for a new car i'd have to go with the Subaru Impreza WRX... all around a really nice car and so peppy... a few bolt ons and you'll hit 13s easy... not as luxurious or as nice as the Supra however... i cna't think of another new car for about 25K that would even be worth it to buy... maybe a Mustang GT or CamaroZ28 possibly... either one are powerful but don't come with the great drivetrain warranty that Subaru comes with... everything else that's nice would be above 25K i'm guessing...
