Question

Hey guys I took ur advice and got 20% smoke tint, it looks really good and im satisfied, its the llumar tint. I sat there the whole time for 2 hours with the tinter, and he was workin hard. Of course he said the back window was rough with the dot matrix, but i think he did a good job. The question that I have is, the tint still has a bunch of small bubbles in it. When we were both inspecting it, he told me that the water needs time to evaporate, and to give it 5-6 days, and no bubbles will be there. Is this true, cuz theres small bubbles all over for now.

I think I got the same brand tint. It took weeks to dry, the bubbles will disappear when it is totally dry. Leave the doors open on a hot day and that will help it. I live in Texas and it took 2-3 weeks to dry, was in winter tho. Take it back in 2 weeks if you see bubbles and they can smooth it out. My matrix teflon area does not look that great tho. They said it's hard to do. I may have to have it blacked out instead.

I had bubbles for about 4-5 days in cold weather. However, after a few days out in the sun, it disappeared. The 'dot matrix' part is still uneven, and it has been about 1 month. i'm going to take it in to see what the guy can do.

Sounds good, the guy worked pretty hard on the dot matrix, hopefully it will turn out fine. Its good to know that everything should be fine. 20% tint is perfect, thanks for ur suggestions guys.

Its too dark out to take pics, but ill take some pics 2morrow for you guys. I know many people have said that their dot matrix looks like shit, well all the small bubbles evaporated today after the first day on all the windows, except the teflon matrix still looks like shit cuz of the small water around all the dots and also some big bubbles. How many days should I let it be until I call this guy up, and can he do anything about it at this point?

Give it 30 days to cure (dry). If there are any bubbles or imperfections at that point...bring it back and have them fix it. It will cure faster if you park your car in the sun. You picked a good product. Llumar has a patent pending property in the make-up that will keep the tint from loosing it's color and UV protection.

i was looking at getting the mirror tint myself and the tinter told me he tries to discourage people from getting it because it never dries. he said its not actually auto tint but commercial tint for buildings and stuff.he has nothing but problems with it.
im still up in the air as to what i want to do.
