I have been running Rain-X on my sheild since '89 and live by it in the rain. The anti-fog is great to. This stuff has been around the aviation industry for awhile but not under the trade name.
Aviation mech. use Rain-X on the font cockpit glass to deflect water. Try turning windshield wipers on at 550mph!!!

So conclusion, use it in muli-coats and buff it like wax and it will last for months.

Anti-fog on the bathroom mirror saves time in the morning after a shower.

There is a new product by Castrol (I believe) that is much easier to put on than RainX. RainX is a major pain to put on. Buff and rebuff and rebuff.

I actually found it at Pep Boys and AutoZone. I think it's called either Clearvue or ClearVision. It's in a blue bottle.

Update: Castrol and windshield fluid are a bad combo. This is the second time I've used the windshield fluid, so it's probably the stock fluid.

While driving monday, I remembered reading somewhere that ppl are having problem with the fluid sprayer. So what the hell, I waited til no one was behind me and started spraying.

Damn, it looked like some1 put vaseline on my wipers. I tried a second time, the same result. So i just let it dry while driving.

Until I washed my car with dishwashing soap and water, did it cleared. Guess I won't do that again.
