To me, placing a $10G premium on the $33G 350hp GTO is going spell suicide for Pontiac particularly because $43G puts it in the same ballpark as the $48G CTS-V; which comes with Caddy luxury, style AND the 400hp LS6.

That said, the GTO is probably the BEST car to ever hit a Pontiac showroom.

Did he pay any markup at all?

I still think the car looks boring. Crazy boring. I don't wanna spend a couple of grand fixing it up so it can look as good as another stock car from the side, and still look boring as hell from the front.

That first pic is pretty hot though, almost had me. But that front...

I don't get how many of you CL owners attack the GTO for being bland.. Okay.. And the CL doesn't have bland styling either? Last time I checked, the CL wasn't a styling standout.
I noticed this too....

No auto-leveling HIDs or swiveling HIDs on a 45k car, no thanks.

I believe he paid MSRP. For the first year of the new GTO and only 18,000 coming into the country this year I guess that's not bad.

I went by and fianally got to see it in person today. The interior is very nice. Good acceleration also, but you can tell it is on the heavy side (about 3700 lbs). Apparently the stock wheel/tire weigh about 65 lbs. That was hard for me to believe. Just for this car that's about 260 lbs for all 4. A lot of rotating mass to get moving. He's working on a lighter setup now.

BTW I made a change to the picture for the sticker. It now says it's for information only and he did not pay the markup.

Yikes, look at the gas mileage, it sucks, AND in California!!! LA area has an average >$2.05/gal. prices. The S4 has a V8 at nearly the same number and has 'good' gas mileage.

I don't know what's up w/ that. My dads vette gets a good 25-30 mpg

Hmmm...

The new Vette will. Doesn't currently, though.

Um... I'm trying to think if the Park Avenue from Buick or any of the Envoys have them.

Crap. I'm drawing a blank.
