As for the tranny - I have an '01 CL-S. The tranny went at 22K. At 41K it did a 5 to 2 downshift out on a freeway. Luckily I was slowing down anyway. At 80K the car did the same 5 to 2,also on a freeway, but it ran me off the road (I ended up between a lake, some palm trees and a cliff, nice). I am negotiating with Acura over getting another car (the "new" tranny doesn't shift right and I feel like I'm driving a ticking time bomb).

I bought my 02 CL-S in like June & I just spent a hair over $3,000 to have a new tranny installed! I dont regret buying my car but I sure hated handing over that kinda cash for a new tranny considering I havent had the thing 5 months yet!
My car however runs awesome now & I couldnt be happier with it. Its a win/lose situation..as long as you love your car & dont mind forking out money if it does break then go with the CL-S!
