Prototype Headers update...
Prototype Headers update...
Just got this from the guy at prototype... surely you guys all remember these equal length headers...
Hi Vinh,
You think you've been waiting a long time? I designed these headers four and
a half years ago, so I've been waiting quite a while as well. I spoke with
Edmun Laurea, owner of Opak Racing, just last week, and he has already test
fit the pre-production "first article" sets that came in a couple of weeks
ago. We were all holding our breath, waiting to see how well they fit, and
I'm happy to say they fit perfectly! Next is dyno testing, just to make
absolutely sure the production sets work as well as the prototype, and then
the word goes out to the people doing the manufacturing to start production.
We're getting really close now, and from what I've been told the
manufacturing plant has the capacity to produce 50 sets a week, so that
should be enough to keep everyone happy.
Where's the Love? The Love is in the design! Have you seen my latest
creation?
Take a look at: http://www.prototyperacing.com/dynok20b.htm Quite a bit of
Love went into that one, just like everything I do.
You may be able to get more details directly from Edmun at: edmun@attbi.com
The whole thing is out of my hands now, so he's the guy you really should be
talking to.
Thanks for waiting with me for our collective dream to come true!
Take care,
Joe

khmer... now taht you've said that all the CT ppl are gonna start coming out of the woodworks to say "told you so" about the OBXes...
let's keep the thread about these new prototype headers ok ppl?
I'd rather not have a flame war in here about CT vs. OBX/Stone as we usually do...

no it is a gain of 17 WHP with the help of remapped Hondatat ECU!.. great to have 247 WHP SAE from a engine rated at 220 HP at the crank. That is a 33% improvement in the WHP almost 292 HP at the crank from 4-cylinders. Also, note that sucker is 3X more expensive from that V6- Accord PR application! It has so tight of radius and bends that make welding a art in gymnastics!
