Project RAP done!
Me, Jrock met up at Ageanbluetypes's house and decided to do the ram air for jrock and I. and also paint the Exhaust Y pipe black w/ some high temp black paint, but didn't get that far.
Since my car is lowered w/ jacks the hydo. Jack that I bought didn't work unless we jacked it up w/ the factory jack a little. it took from 2:30 until 6:00. We started w/ my car, it was a total @#$@% to get one of the screws out next to the battery holding the resonator out. After trying for about 40 min we finally decided it was easier to just take out the battery. (highly reccomended, if u don't have a SUPER long extender on your wrench.
After taking the resonator out we ran the dryer hose pipe from the bottom of the stock intake housing to the front of the grill. We also coverd the front of the tube w/ gutter guard and clammped it so it would stay.
And of course did the battery reset.
First thing I noticed was my car idles at around 600 rpm and also off the line even w/ little throttle the tires would chirp, I think this means more lowend torque. Also on the highway and local road, I could 'feel' the difference and even hear it w/ my ac set to 65 degrees.

Yeah I will let you know the cost after I return the excess parts to Home Depot tomorrow.
I think actual parts (not including the jack and roller mat which you don't really need unless your car is lowered) cost was like $15 per car.
As soon as I get a hi-flow filter in my blackbox I'll let you guys know how it does. So far it feels pretty much the same, perhaps a little quicker to it's feet when the gas is pressed firmly.
I did WOT only once on the way home and it did sound slightly louder on the intake which was cool.
I think this setup with a hi-flow filter should be as effective as any CAI because it's doing the same thing, and actually our intake goes closer to the front grille where it can get more airflow.

Sound at WOT is much louder w/ the resonator taken out and additional piping, but not as loud as a CAI.

Resonator weighs like 4.5 pounds. We replace that whole assembly with one pipe about 1 pound in weight. That's a 350% weight reduction!
And the shit only costs you about $15 to DIY.

After returning the extra parts today, the total $$$ for parts is $21 for TWO people to do it.
So it's like $10.50 per person (including 5% sales tax).
Then of course you probably want a hi-flow filter which AutoCarParts wants to take $60 from you for. Ugh. Maybe JZ will still hook me up with his extra Comptech one.
