Hey guys my CL-S 6MT is racking up some miles, i currently have 106k on it, im having 2 problems...

First, my handbrake is not working properly, when im on a hill it holds but u put clutch in car starts rolling that needs to be fixed, adjusted(Jus got new rotors/pads all around).

Second, when iam standing still i turn the steering wheel it makes a weird noise in the engine bay, and sometimes makes that noise when i turn my headlights on,(Electrical issue??...

Any help is greatly appreicated!

 

the handbrake doesnt have anything to do with your new rotors or pads. most can be adjusted, but sometimes u need new shoes (they shoudve checked that out during the rotor/pad install)


what kind of noise u hearing? u checked the ps fluid, belts, ect? i dunno

 

Hand brake needs to be adjusted. There's a DIY around here from Jens, or you could just have a dealer do it... I got charged $50 last time i needed it done (lazy, had it in for other service, so I just paid to get it done).

Make sure you back off after the brake is tight... Inskip Acura didn't do this, and I had to get new pads (they covered the cost) 7500 miles later...

 

I have also noticed that when i touch my window switches up and down, its make the same noise, as when iam parked and turn my steering wheel to the side...

 

Might be the alt belt or pulley. Have you replace the drivebelt?

 

No but iam getting my timing belt and all drive belts replaced next week, i did notice my car being a little loud.
