Problem with my car - does this happen to yours?

So I noticed this last winter actually (at the end of the winter). Then it disappeared and I thought it was bad gas, or something that fixed itself, but today with temps down to low 50s, or lower, I feel it happening again, so it is temperature sensitive. Here is what happens:

Whenever I a press the brakes, the car is fine, but when it approaches very low speeds (due to braking) and just before it completely stops, the engine rpm fall to the point where the engine dies. Imagine going from 800 rpm to 300-400 rpm (guessing) and the computer intervening and correcting. It feels that it happens whenever I apply the brakes though and it's got to do with the "power brakes system" sucking rpm off of the engine.

It's not a huge problem and that is why I lived with it up to now (my principle is "do not take the car to the dealer for any problem you can easily live with" - I still have the intermittent "window auto down feature not bringing the window all the way down" thing happening during hot days).

But it's annoying. Because when the rpm goes to below normal idle rpm level, the car shakes a lot more than normal and it's annoying.

What do you guys think this is? Carbon build up in the intake? Bad plugs? It's not bad gas that's for sure.

That will sometimes happen randomly in my Taurus. It has stalled more than a couple times while going through car washes, which I find strange. It hasbt ever stalled while sitting at a light though. I say if a check engine light isnt lit up don't take it in. I also despise going to the dealer for anything, so I make sure I have a legit and noticeable problem before I go in.

Good luck.

It sounds to me like the Idle control motor yet again .This is starting to be a more common issue .Show it your dealer ona cold day if possible so they can diag and correct it .Or allow them to keep the car overnight so the tech get's a cold car to verify the problem .

My car stalled on my completely when coming to a stop about 2 or 3 times in the first 6 months of ownership.

After that it just stopped doing this on its own and and I haven't had any stalling problems since.

However, every now and again (including tonight) it is having idle issues when at a stop. It drops lower than normal and the computer gives it more gas to keep it from stalling, then it drops, then computer gives more gas... and it keeps going in a cycle. Im not sure why it started doing it all of the sudden but it was unusually warm for November here today... about 75 degrees out when I was having the idle problem.

This is a answer for your windows problem, maybe. On an alarm system with window activation for the module to know that it is in the down or up position it uses resitance. That same problem you described used to happen with my MARK VIII with the window module. When it was hot the door panel would expand and put extra pressure on the window. Thus adding extra resistance which made the module think it was all the way down when it really wasn't. We just had to put a slightly higher resistor in the module to cure the problem. I'm not sure if acura's works the same way or not. The new window modules for the alarms now come with dip switches with up to four different resistance settings depending on your situation. Before you had to solder in new resistors.

Had to dig this up, my car just started doing the same engine almost stalling bit, when almost at a complete stop.
Has anyone gotten their dealer to check theirs out (gavriil, siggy) ?

Mine has done this before and it was my throttle body that was warped. I had it changed twice already, but the second one is OK so far. I have 43k miles.
