powerslot or DBA

Front rotors (and a wheel) are next week and Im going with either of these three:

Powerslot Cryo @ +- 110 each.

DBA 4000 Slotted 42510SL @ +- 135

DBA 4000XS slot/dimple @ +- 147

Anyone prefer one over the others? Everyone seems to have good things to saw about the powerslots and Im wondering if its worth the additional 80 for DBA's top of the line...

I have never used the DBA's. But after all the research and reviews i've seen I would go with their 4000 Slotted. Not the xs street. I've always used EBC's and have never been let down. But my next car will have DBA's with Carbotech pads.

I'm sure clsprogression will chime in with his experiance with the DBA's. Just keep in mind he braggs about purposely torturing his brakes. If you try hard enough to warp rotors then it will.

Just google each rotor and you can see tons a reviews. I would also say that if you are going to invest in quality rotors follow suit with the pads. I found that the weekend racers like the Mazda, Corvette, and Porsche forums are great for reading up on what brakes last and perform the best as many of these guys use the sames brakes for daily driving and the weekend club races. Also check some SCCA forums.

Good luck with your purchase!

I don't know about the DBA's but I put Powerslots on my Integra and on my Girlfriends Solara. That solved the warped rotor problem permanently.

I was thinking about trying them (powerslots) for my 2wd Tacoma. So far though the factory brakes have been good enough. But I started modded it so we will see. I just don't think I need to spend too much on brakes since the truck only weighs 2,900lbs. Tirerack seems to have agood prices on the rotors.

When I get a sport sedan in mid 2011, either a 2006/2007 CTS-V, 2005/2006 M5, 2005-06 E55 AMG, or a 2003 Audi RS6, then I will get the best rotors and pads I can find. Maybe the DBA 2 piece 5000 series rotors.

PowerSlot is working well for me. What's the point of dimpled rotors anyways?

Back in the day drilled/dimpled rotors helped alleviate gas buildup between the pad and the rotor surface. We dont have those problems with the materials brake pads are made out of now, so its a waste since your pads have less surface area to clamp on to.

I ran the cryo treated ones and replaced them with Racing Brake rotors. I still have them. If you want i'll sell them cheap as they are just sitting taking up space.
