i just got a short ram intake and i installed it this morning. while my car is on i can hear a slight sound coming from the air filter/intake itself. its like a deep sound/whine. is this normal or is there something wrong with it?

 

its just resonance... it happens to a lot of our cars... its whatever. lol..

 

What kind of intake? Weapon-R?

 

Short rams suck (literally) a lot for our cars. I had a Weapon-R SRI and it hummed like a bitch. IMHO you should just invest in a CAI and you'll be a lot happier.

 

My friend's teggy did it all the time when he had his SRI, I like that sound it makes.

yep even when you take of the resonator on the stock ride you will get quite a bit of humming/whinning

 

thanks. its good to know. i thought i messed something up. my integra was never this loud with a SRI. but yeah its pretty damn loud at idle lol. but i love how it sounds at WOT
