Post if you love your car.
I just wanted to share that......to make up for everybody complaining about the CL-S and wanting to get into something else. Well yesterday at my friends house while watching the superbowl one of the guys there which I didn't know to well shared with us that he just bought a 2003 Lexus GS 300. So the car buff that I am started to ask him like what options he has, how it drives and of course how much he paid. Well from what I gathered he spent close to $45k on this car that only has like 215hp and 200 tq does 0-60 in 7.8 seconds this is according to the brochure he just happen to have with him. As I was looking through the brochure every luxury item on the Lexus the CL-S had and then some. Needless to say I felt really bad cause he could of saved a furtune if he'd bought a CL-S or TL-S.
Then on my way home there was like 3 inches of snow on my car so I decided to test the heated side mirrors. Well the car defrosted almost all the snow off of it in no time and had no problem with traction all the way home.
Acura CL-S = Rocks
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S = rocks

Obviously, you know nothing about cars.
Lexus GS 300= true luxury/sports sedan
CL-S=Accord platfrom entry level luxury car
Oh, you are so superier with so much more hp! Way to go guy! BTW, YOU CAN'T READ LMAO. You had a brochure in your hands. The car has 220hp and 220lbs or torque BTW.
I am glad you feel good about your purchase but leave cars costing 15k more alone, thanks.

Hey I never said Lexus is a bad car nor that its not superior to my Acura CL-S all I said is that for $45k you should get more. I did hear the engine with the hood open and I will say this you couldn't even hear a tick compared to mine.

I see way to many of them... only once and a while will a shiny Black one catch my eye, otherwise they don't do much for me for the money
I saw a used one at Tognotti's (2000 GS300), guy wanted $ 33,000 for it and it was far from excellent cond...

I love my car..... I also had the earlier GS300 when it was $46K for a 222HP I-6 and was slower than molasses. I will give it one thing. IT WAS DEAD ASS QUIET. Plus it had the best factory stereo I have ever heard. It had the Nakamichi system in it and wow! I leased it for $399 back in 1994. COuldn't wait to get rid of it when Imoved east. Bought a 98 Maxima 5 speed after that. One of the 190HP ones. It was quick as crap! I long for a manual now!

Yup, ya'll gave correct info. Avalon is on the streched Camry chassis. GS shares nothing with the car.
The U.S. Senate picked the GS 300 as the car to buy for 45k or under (some poll they were doing).
Speed is not everything to some people. The GS 300 far outsells the GS 4. They sell just as many, maybe more GS 300s than CLs a month/year so they can't be that bad. And if a GS 300 owner ever gets board, he can make it a 500hp beast easy. Anyway.
Now go on and respond how much ya'll love your car!
