Is it possible to get scratches out of window glass?
Some how I got a few scratches on my passenger side window!!! It's not too bad but they are distracting. Does anyone know if they can be wet sanded or something??? Or do I need to replace the window???

Not sure about the side windows, but Griot's and others make glass polish that will remove hard water spots, pits, light scratches, etc.
Griot's link: http://www.griotsgarage.com/search.j...t=glass+polish
If you are a "Zaino nut", Sal Zaino has a glass polish (Z-12, Zaino Bros' Clear-View Glass Polish) link:
www.zainobros.com
As a note, most of the people who sell the glass polishes will recommend that you use a machine buffer.

I had scratches on my drivers side window. Those can not be buffed out, because they are tempered glass. The windshield can be, but not the side windows.

Hmmm... I just got my Eastwood Company catalog, and they carry RHODITE (a glass polishing compound). In the catalog, the state that the polish is safe and works on laminated and tempered glass. A machine buffer or drill motor is required.

In the page returned by "RHODITE" there is also the pictures of the glass buffing wheel and kit...
(No note is made on the WEB page about the ability to work on the tempered and laminated glass -- it is stated in the paper version of the catalog!)
(I had heard something about side windows vs. front before, but don't know the source and exact comments.)
BTW -- If your nail will get caught in the scratch, it is too big to fix...

After washing my car this weekend, I noticed several chips on my Windshield. I thought to myself this is strange, don't tell me that the windshield are crappy as the paint. I am hoping the glass polish will remove the chips. Does anyone else have chips on their windshield?

i'm getting kinda grouchy now...i have some faint scratches on my sunroof and last week noticed a couple pretty serious scratches on my passenger window.
is this from rubbing against something inside the door? or is is something i did (drive too close to a tree/bush)
