Port n Polish CT Blower

Is it possible to have the MP62 internally ported n polished to "boost" some power, similar to the MP90 for the GTP guys?

I think you will gain more hp by installing a $125 high boost pulley.

What about a port n polish blower AND a HBP??

I want to get as much power out of a blower as I can.......I'd prefer a turbo because of better #'s, but I already have a CT blower sitting at home. I'm debating selling it for a turbo, or using it.

I've been following your posts, Jon, and it really sounds to me like you want a total power beast... for which, the turbo sounds a whole lot better than the CT blower. I don't know if reliability and durability are on the top of your "most desired features" list, but if they aren't, I must say... go turbo.

...and donate your blower to me

Ahh, you are very keen! I'm tired of seeing the same 'ole cars getting the job done at the track (Camaros/TAs, DSMs, WRXs, Mustangs, etc), these are cars that you can expect to be fast. Every time I go to the track, which is quite often, the turbo Cadillac CTS or 11 sec '00 Monte Carlo (just using first-hand examples of what I've seen) are the crowd favorites.

sell the blower and drop 7K to buy an allmotor custom turbo set up (oxymoron).

or install the blower and add scalberts intercooler, e-manage, HBP setup. after the thrill wears off add a wet shot of nitrous. if that doesn't do it for you, sell the car.

if you can afford it, do it.

As mentioned int he other thread, the MP62 Gen IV blower used in the Comptech kit includes the S-Porting by Magnuson.

Now, are there gains to be had by further porting, maybe.?? The GTP's L67 engine uses the previous generation blower which would benefit from porting. We may not realize anything. But it is worth looking into.

Man I would love to know a good port and polish guy that don't charge an arm and a leg. I would have ported everything including the AEM intake My first mod was match port and polish those runners, cost me $300. Look beautiful but can't feel anything.

An air grinder, cartridge rolls and a few hour can get you from this:

To this:

And it cost me just $30.

I wish you'd somehow modify MP90 to swap MP62 currently in. The size is different but most important is outlet port difference.

It could be done but I would expect it to be upwards of $2000.

I'm just an A-CL addict, like most of us here

But Jon, I could not agree with you more on that point... when I see a modded Mustang or a WRX, I _expect_ it to be fast as hell, and that's where it loses its charm. Where or not you end up representing the CL-S and making a beast out of your car, hats off you to brother. I wish I had the time and finances required to be doing the same, but college + work makes for a poor kid. I'm also glad to see that you're doing your research very thoroughly before getting to the

Good luck with it, and I'll be waiting to see what you conjure up. We have two turbo CLs already... how about a third one?
