Excellent Condition means you drive the car from the parking lot onto the showroom and put a window sticker on it. KBB itself says:
"Looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category."
It's funny, though, when I talk with customers it seems more like 95%, not fewer than 5%, think their car is in "excellent." condition.

Yes, expecially when the customer does not have there trade with them they always say there car is Perfect.. no dent no dings 100% and they want us to give them a price unseen, we give them a trade in price on a perfect condition car and when they bring there car in , its a POS.
If u guys wanna sell your CL put it on craigslist.com I got a couple offers for my CL-s from putting on that site .. I got $5k for 2001 cl-s w/155k miles
IM looking for $6500 but might just let it go for $5k to get a 2005 RL
I think like the guy b4 me said these cars are rare and there is a market for coupes to certain people so try selling it privatly!

Yea "rare" means the owner wants too much money for it. Guess you're in the same business I'm in.
My all time favorite are people who want KBB Excellent value for their car and when I point out our car is $4,000.00 below KBB retail they respond with: "Well everybody knows that isn't the market for this car."
So many jacks out there!

Got the deal finalized yesterday - got $6500 for the trade and picked up a Civic for better gas mileage and lower mantainence in the long run.
Not sure how good was my deal but thanks to everyone's suggestions, especially StoneCL!
I begin to miss my CL...

You made out out pretty good with the car being 33K miles over.
Most car dlrs dont like touching cars with over 100k and send those cars strait to auction cuz they dont wanna retail them. All new car DLRS in NJ have to garentee there used car passes inspection and have to offer some sort or warrenty even 30days so alot of dlrs really low ball when the car gets up to 100K miles area!
