Picture of my ride.

I bought my car with 6K miles on it. The previous owner had put "Type S" badges on the side, if you're wondering what the thing behind the front wheel is. It's an '03 six-speed.

Nice nice.. how do you like it so far? I mean, compared to your Z06 and Stang.. this must seem like a slowboat or something eh? But the luxury must be a plus!

Ah, a comparo must be in order:

Mustang: one of the best all-around performance deals on the market. My car was pretty fast, pretty well made, and pretty cheap. Also, the best-sounding car on the market, period. With aftermarket pipes and flowmasters, the car sounds just amazing. Negatives: The position of the shifter relative to the driver. Even after an aftermarket shifter, shift lever, and knob, it still felt "distant" compared to the "connected" feeling you get with the other cars.

Vette: A supercar at an attainable price. Why the attainable price? The interior sucks. It's perfectly functional, though, and you can't really complain about it when you've got 405 hp at your disposal.

CL-S: hell yes it's slow compared to my past cars. One word: torque. When the revs get up there, though, it's pretty quick. It has the best stock shifter I've ever felt in a car (well, the S2000 is probably better) and the seats are just perfect. They are supportive, but not too tight. Also, the quality (at least so far) is obviously leaps and bounds better than in the other cars.

I'm not sure what kind of exhaust is on it. I have crawled underneath the car to try to find out, but I can't find it written anywhere. :P

I have a cold-air intake on it also. It's red, and the manufacturer is three letters, the first of which is 'I.'

And yeah, VTEC at 5K rpm sounds awesome.

NIce car, if possible could you get a rear shot of that exhaust. It looks interesting. Thanks!

Here's a shot that's more toward the rear, but I don't have one that's head-on.

That sucks because the exhaust looks good

The intake with three letters is AEM, but the only one that starts with an "I" is INGEN

also judging by the extra badging and the red "A" on the back it seems as the previous owner was a bit of a ricer

You are very correct in that previous owner assessment

I actually kind of want to take off the "type S" badges on the side, and would really prefer to have no badges at all on the back of the car. Any recommendations as to how to get them off without damaging the paint?

I'll figure out the type of exhaust for y'all.

Dental floss works perfect for removing badges. If there is any glue residue left, GOO GONE should work for that.

Should I expect this to take any amount of effort, or should they come off easily?

I'd get a blowdryer and heat it up a bit, then use the dental floss. It should come off with ease. Some googone/bugtar remover should do the rest.

Nice ride and welcome to the club.

I don't really mind the red badges at all. The only ones that sort of bother me are the "type S" badges on the side...and it's not their actual presence there, it's the fact that it leaves thieves too many "type S" badges to steal. I'm sure y'all are familiar with punks stealing those things and putting them on their civics...
