Picked up my 02 6-speed Maxima
Picked up my 02 6-speed Maxima
Initial impressions:
- Interior lacks my CL-S' refinement, seems somewhat 'cheaper'
- Noisier cabin, they use less insulation material.
- Harsher ride, the multibeam suspension in the back transmit more bumps than the double wishbone suspension.
- the 6-speed is fun to shift, pretty speed and not as 'notchy' imho as what i've read. Compares to the 5-speed in my previous 98 Type-R
- The increased displacement is felt off the line, even though I haven't launched aggresively, the difference is noticeable (from STOCK CL-S -- feels about the same as my CL-S with headers + intake).
That's it for now, I drove it 20 minutes only to stereo shop where it is getting it's goodies, tint, etc. More impressions as I continue to break it in

Read my reply on max.org. You are saying that as well, but your problems, at least some of them were caused by you. The CL-S has much less problems and better build quality than the Maxima. I owned 4 Maximas I defintely know.

I've owned 3 Acuras :p
I'll take my chance with Nissan. Either way, I won't be disappointed because I don't expect much. Acura didn't give me anything special, neither will Nissan, status-quo
I just think your expecations of your new Acura are a bit high.
