piaa lamps in the road lamp location?

I was thinking about taking out the road lamps on my 01 cl-s and putting in some piaa driving lamps. Has anyone done that? I was thinking of keeping the stock housing and trying to cut it to fit these inside

http://www.piaa.com/displayLamp.php3?inc=1000x.html

Would that look bad? Would it melt anything? Would it fit? I really want to put some piaa's on my car, but I want them to be as hidden as possible. I saw an eclipse spyder in superstreet or one of those mags where they put actual piaa lamps inside of the headlight housing, I was thinking I could do the same in the road lamps.

Anybody who has done anything similar, or put any kind of aftermarket fog lights or driving lamps, I would love to hear your opinion (or see pics).

thanks

Sup hommie....
I like your idea, but I don't think it would fit inside the housing. That would be tight as hell if it did. And even if it did, i believe that the road lamps are plastic and would melt. Your better off taking the road lamps out and putting those in plase of them. Ask ST2000, he did a bomb job on his. I hope this helps.

I like the CATZ driving lights. Metal housing and bright as hell. They throw a long driving pattern.

the smaller the better, since I am going to try to fit them in the stock road lamp housing...there are some by Hella...micros I think they are called...maybe I will look into those.

What about if I took out the road lamps completely and fit the new lamps into the housing from an 03...that could work...

fuzzy- do you have a pic?

how do you get the pic to show up in the post. I thought if you get the url from properties and enter that, the pic is supposed to just come up....but that doesnt work for me. am I supposed to do something else?
