Pennsylvania cl owners drag race
I have an idead for a car show/ drag race, at maplegrovce raceway. I think it would be a good get together.for all cl owners. The drag race would be a flashlight drag race, where each racer would be given 3 (pink slips) to be filled out like your title. You winthe race you get their pinkslip, they win they get yours. The racer with the most slips after the last race wins. We could charge a 10.00 entry fee, with a 100% payback. I think this would be a blast. Please offer you opinions.

Lets move this to the "meets" forum. I think it would be great to have a Mid-Atlantic meet at the track. Most tracks that do rentals will only allow 15-20 cars per day. So we'd need 1 person to put the deposit down for the track and start collecting money. I'd volunteer, or maybe we could get a moderator to set-up a PayPal account for the meet.
To rent the track for a day on the weekend will most likely cost close to $2,000. This fee normally includes track prep for ONE lane only. For insurance reasons (or so I've been told) the tracks can only run one car at a time during private rentals. It's not gonna be cheap to rent a track guys.

This is a good idea, I just don't see it happening.
It hard enough to organize a free meet, it would be like pulling teeth to get people to pay. Why not just have everyone meet at the track on a test and tune night?

If you guys are REALLY interested, Norwalk does weekday rentals, and with 15 ppl it comes out to ~ $35 per racecar for a 4 hour rental. Just lettin ya know, cuz I know its a far drive for you guys, but its cheap and is one of the top 5 drag strips in the nation.
