by pass valves

by pass valves

any one expierence any problems from their bypass valves and cai? i'm thinking about getting a cai, but worried about hydro-locking since i live in chicago and weather sucks.

You shouldn't be worried unless you drive in a foot of water. If you know you are going to, then purchase a bypass air valve.

My V2 sits really low and I was scared at first but after a few rain falls I have no worries. Just don't go crazy puddle jumping...

I'd buy the bypass valve. I used to have a V2 cai on my 98 accord v6 and I would get hydrolock. It probably didnt help that I was dropped 2.6in , so it was hard to miss a puddle. I also live in South Bend so we get all your crappy weather and then some from the lake.

maybe you shouldn't have driven into a lake? i've never had a prob with mine.
