It's ordered. Mine seems to be working. All the tests I did point to it working. But It's good to have anyway.

All the time... At least every time I get in the car... Which is one of the reasons I average about 22mpg

I love the sound of 3rd gear @ about 80mph (it's too bad I have to shift into 4th to go faster)

I really like cruising around 3200-6000 rpm's (I think the torque curve must be pretty flat there)... so I'm in and out of vtec all the time...

You should be able to hear the secondary intake valve open (if your radio isn't turned up too loud)...

But you can see it do it's thing by looking at it when someone is revving the car, or you are pulling on the throttle cable from under the hood...

4100rpm is quoted in the link above, but you'll find references to 3800rpm's in other threads...

someone really needs to figure out a way to replace the shitty plastic gear with a metal one.

If you had the proper tools/machining equipment, I can't imagine it would be too hard. I think typeR has taken one apart a couple of times. I wonder if you had all the specs if a machine shop could make one that would fit perfectly.

copy and paste from hondas official press release:

DUAL-STAGE INDUCTION SYSTEM

Fitted exclusively on the Type S model, this revolutionary induction system is the heart of the class-leading 260 horsepower engine. This system uses a large, two-chamber intake plenum separated by a valve, which opens at 3800 and is actuated by a separate electric motor.

I got the spare today. My this is a big heavy thing.
I'm not impressed with oemacuraparts.com. It took forever to get compare to the other Acura parts place, & the box looked like ass after DHL got rid of it a day later then what the tracking said.
