Padding around bypass valve

Padding around bypass valve

i've been hearing bits and pieces of stories that the padding covering the bypass valve is cheap enough to shread after a while and get sucked into the engine...anyone have any insight??

Dude - hopefully you will NEVER need to use that padding - if you use it enough to get it sucked in, you need to stop lake diving.
