P2R Power Plenums Availability

I spoke with p2r yesterday and they don't carry the power plenums anymore in stock. They are willing to make a production run of a few more sets if they have a few people interested within the next few weeks. They took my information down in case I can round up a few people to purchase sets. I tried calling a few other companies I googled to see if they have them in stock but no luck. Does anyone know where I can buy a set new or used? Is anyone willing to purchase a set them self's?

I've been searching for a couple weeks actually. I'm not new to using forums, just because I have a low post count doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing. If you have nothing useful to say why even bother posting in MY thread? Go troll somewhere else please...

i got the plenums off the BM for 400 to my door and I am super happy with them.

other people hate them, but i personally did the plenums instead of the 3.7 TL SH manifold because every time someone sees under the hood their jaw drops 1, 2 it's easier to install and less likely to encounter a problem and three it beefs up the overall power band. it's not like an intake where u feel the difference at a certain point. with the plenums it just felt like the car had more power in all ranges, not at one point more than the other... and that's what I love. you get a nice steady tq curve with them

Plenums have been proven on dyno to be virtually pointless. They give you maybe 2-3hp on a good day,

if that were true, then it would be really dumb to pay 600 for that kind of power gain. so why is everyone wanting these so bad?

First off they are talking about plenum spacers. Second they give alot more than 3 hp and you arent even mentioning tq. Jacob's statement has no real reference.

You can complain about the price, but for 400 or less they really arent that bad. That is a big chunk of aluminum they use to make each set. If they are too pricey for you dont buy them. I dont see why people have to bash anything they dont have or think is too pricey.

just thought of this too, if anything you would also need a minor retune too, to adjust where the IMRC would engage too, because plenums are larger, which also means the resonance frequency that the IMRC depends on to help make addition power has changed, so it would need to be tweaked as to when it would turn on (either turned on earlier, or later, not quite sure of what way though )

also another point, is that you are going to lose some throttle response too, from having to fill that larger intake up, even if it is only a couple of additional milliseconds each time you open the throttle though2 (which depending on the situation might actually make you lose, something maybe like AutoX where throttle control would be very critical)

2-3 hp LOL

obviously you don't have them on ur car or u'd know.

they will give u 8hp and at least the same in tq

but w/e i'm not going to argue about it. i'm super happy with mine, and that's all that matters

They actually arent overpriced. The plenums are made out of one solid chunk of aluminum. The machine work is pricey as well.

BUT, as I said, there are cheaper ways to get the same outcome. Spoolin and I know first hand.

If you search I think you'll pull up my thread about these.
I don't have my dyno sheets any longer. But I saw zero gain from these. At 1st there was a 12HP gain but then I dyno'd after a week with them on & there was no difference from the before dyno. I think the ECU adjusted to them & pulled timing. Or something.

I paid full price for them new. The company was local to me. I was only like the 2nd or 3rd to try them out at that time.

Only reason I kept them was I didn't feel like un-installing them, & already spent the $ & wasn't going to try & sell them & undercut our new vendor at the time P2R.

every car is differnt tho.. straight up. some cancel mods out, other times the gains stay as they are.

just like how some of the cl pcms over-ride some piggyback systems and some don`t.

nothing is 100% identical.

and what about the placebo effect... LOL that`s gotta be worth half a grand NO
