Our First Polish CL Owner
Our First Polish CL Owner
Just sold my CL to Leo (CLS-PL).
Great guy who came all the way from Poland to purchase my CLS 6MT.
Just letting everyone know that everything went smooth as silk and I'm now carless
...
If you guys know anyone giving up a decent reliable beater car then lemme know, I'm in the market with cash in hand.

Hi folks !
Civic4982 - thanx for bringin this up !!
Yup. I'm Polish, and I chose CL-S 6l over ANY german cars I could possibly afford (going on debts, debts, debts).
The car will be in Poland around July 5th. NJ is an obvious choice, b/c majority of goods exchanged with Europe are shipped via ports located there. I found there some shipping company and they arranged delivery.
I'm now *sure* I made a wise choice and it was worth this risk, tiredness and effort.
Civic made our deal a pleasure, he even ordered required parts on my behalf.
He also helped me with 10% discount etc. Thank you Vinh.
As for CL-S itself, the experience of driving it exceeded my expectations.
The key words are: engine, sound with CAI, clutch, transmission, comfort.
I made around 1800 miles within 3 days and it was hedonian pleasure.
I was observing speed limits all the way - with + 3 +10 miles margine,
but couldn't stop myself from putting the engine on the test.
I was afraid to go above 135mph (4th gear maximum), but I already get the feeling
of *speeding* at the german freeways !!
FYI - there are no speed limits on many German freeways ...
To the guy saying that there is RL in Russia with the honda badge.
Yes. This is correct. It's called Honda Legend and sold all over the Europe.
You can also find Integras, but those are definitely shipped from North America.
I don't know for certain, but taking under consideration that they built only 2700 CL-S 6 speed, there is a high probability that mine will be the only one in Europe.
I never heard of any of them in Europe. There is one 2001 CL-P though.
And it's in Poland too !
Thanx for going through this,
Leo aka CLS-PL

I bought it for my own pleasure only. I like aiming for something and strive persistently to achieve it.
The car is debadged, so majority of people won't know what's that anyway.

I'm on debt and it looks like it won't change for years. I have a mortgage too.
But who knows. Maybe after couple of kmiles I'll decide to have bad debt and
M3-kicking-ass car.

I was thinking about getting better headers or working on the stock ones.
I'm looking for 25-30HP gain from that.
How much it may cost ?
Congrats on your purchase, and I thought I had to go far to get my 6 speed from Texas to Oklahoma. I hope you have good tires for the autobahn speeds!! Please report on your drives and take some pix. Maybe you should start an Acura import business.
I was thinking funkeetown might show up, I met him last weekend at the Austin meet and he definitely funkeed up our town!. funny guy, and crazy too!

2 things though:

would make the car running not only faster, but also smoother (not to mention having
a SC). I really need those

--The roads in Poland suck. I'm often loosing adherence while flooring it
from the lighhts. Too often. It wasn't like this in the US.
Need new tires too.
I'm not using this car a lot. It's not my everyday car, but a baby
I'm taking special care of.
I put it on the test on German hiways.
It's a great experience, but - again - having headers or/and SC would give
a better flexibility and power while going over 100mph.
On the other hand It's hard for me to keep an engine over 5000RPM (VTEC mode) for
a long time,so need to practise a little bit to gain the most from the engine.
Some thoughts from my perspective:
I hate posts at our forum comparing CL-S with BMW 3 series (M3 is a different story).
I guess if one drove 325,330 etc he/she wouldn't even start such a lame topic. The facts speak for themselves.
Acura OWNS BMW 3 (and a plastic Audi TT too, no matter how badly chipped it is
). Peace, love and cheaper fuel for all !!
