Exclamation ordered a new front bumper

so i ordered a 03 bumper for my CL-S from Delray Acura (acuraoemparts.com) a few days ago.

price for the bumper was $202.16 with shipping and handling charges of $12.13 and $3.95 so my total came to $218.24.

the next day, they sent me a e-mail stating that they are gonna charge me an extra $340.71 for shipping.

does that sound right to anybody? they already gave me my grand total for payment, then later telling me they are gonna be charging me more.

Sounds like a typical ebay "shipping" scheme

nope sounds normal. i did the same thing and they said they do not ship without a different cost, i.e. the huge number. i ended up getting raped at my local dealership for around $275 for the front.

and if you read the small print it notes that larger items may require additional shipping. that is when i called and they told me about the "additional" charges.

just got to your local acura dealership or just any bodyshop and they will order it for you, and usually there is no freight charges.

My buddy with a 3G TL ordered his front Aspec lip from them, only to get an email from them over a week later saying they are going to need another $60 to ship it so he just asked for his money back. I personally wouldnt purchase from them just for bad customer service. Once they give you a grand total, it should be just that, they shouldnt ask for more after you already make a payment.

well i agree that they should change the pricing program to note unknown shipping on bumpers and such. i still order everything from there due to the low costs, they save you a ton. i have received broken plastic parts and they gladly exchange them at no cost to me.

also kind of suspicious shipping a bumper for $16 don't ya think?
