Anyone know of any other replacement mirrors for our car that include a digi compass built in? My interior mirror is starting to lose it's tint so before I purchase a new one I wanted to find out what options I have as far as aftermarket.

 

Dealer may warranty this item even if out of warranty! Safety deal. Do a search!

 

Anyone know where I can get a replacement autodimming mirror? I need it to have the map lights (obviously) and a compass, because I'm tired of driving east for 3 miles and then realizing I should have been going west.

I started working on this a few weeks ago but haven't finished. Time is of the essence lately.

Search for a recent mirror thread here in 2nd gen and you'll probably find the info I have already found but have yet to complete. It might help.

 

dont want to sound mean darkness, but if you dont know which direction youre goin I dont know if navi is gonna be youre saviour.. A 2 dollar compass from wal mart will remedy that problem.. Badac.. if u find a mirror that offers these options that will fit our car, I would be extremely interested in gettin one myself.. Navi, in my opinion, is for those tards that cant read a map... If youre a man, then you should be able to look at a map and navigate yourself with ease... But thats just a opinion from a MAN that can walk and chew gum at the same time...

gentex is the biggest company i know of that produces the best mirrors with everything you could need. one issue, i dont think their a direct fit for acura/honda.

i did some leg work for you bc i was thinkin gabout upgrading my mirror...

it appears they state gentex mirrors WILL NOT fit acuras, BUT they have an adapter bracket for 2000-2002 accord. i think i might be the guinea pig and buy the $10 bracket and see if it fits. FYI gentex has a mirror with map lights, compass, auto dim, and temperature (yea i know). listed on the site below for 300 but ebay can be a good friend.

i found mine in a junk yard for 35 bucks... dealership won't cover it if you have too many miles or if they just don't feel like doing it!

 

i know it says it doesnt support acura. but i could have sworn the last time i was in my gf's parent's accord it was the same mirror as mine. shrugs. its $10? dare i try?

 

For $10 I'd give it a shot. You won't be losing much.

 

On autoanything I bought a Mito mirrior for my dad's Trailblazer. It was the best price on the web. The mirrior is great and some manufacturers actually use these as oem. The one I bought was the K31 which is autodimming w/compass, temp, and map lights.

 

but the million dollar question still remains:

Will it fit our CL's?

Willieesco, where did I say anything about Navi? I want a mirror with a compass, is that too much to ask?

 

Make sure it has a "camlock" mount.

 

Contact http://www.donnelly.com and ask them if they make a compass version of our mirror. They are the company that was replacing the OEM mirrors a while back. I got mine for free.

 

I've tried them before. The guys I spoke with said they can't replace ours anymore. He said they have no more supply and since then, it's a different company now (I can't remember the exacts). I posted all of this in the last mirror thread. That's why I told BadAcCLS he should search for a recent "rear view mirror" thread. It's all there.

 

So we're basically assed out?
