Opinion on keeping insides of car cooler

If you have tinted windows (20%) Which would keep the inside of your car cooler?
Leaving the windows all the way up to keep some of the sun out or leave the windows down a little?

Windows down a little, moonroof popped up with the inside shade left open about an inch, plus a sun visor in the front window.

Wal-Mart has a mirrored sunshade for less than 10 bucks. I got one and it works great. Just tip the sunroof and pull the shade to all but an inch open.

Same here. Makes the car bearable to get into when it's 104.

A cheap sunshade definitely helps. My step dad gave me one, and even tho' it doesn't quite fit, it works like a charm (when I remember to put it up).

You can get a custom fit one for he CL... (pretty pricey IMHO tho').

That's the one...it's a quilted mirrored surface and reflects the heat quite nicely. I believe it comes in different sizes.

Maybe the oil hogs figured they were losing out on profit from .00013 gallons of gas not being used up thus put told Mazda lose it or else? No, oil greeds wouldn't do that would they?

(I think it takes a little extra gas to fire up the AC.)

I bought a Sunshade from the Stealership for like $14... It has the A symbol on the front and covers the entire windshild. It is one piece and folds up neatly into a small disk shape. Also the sunroof tilted and the shade pulled back a little helps.

From one Marylander to another: the best way to keep the inside cool in the summer is to move to New Hampshire.

Exactly what I do though hard to tell if it actually is any cooler. At least I feel like I'm doing something.

I remember seeing, years ago, these little solar powered fans that would slip to the top of the window and act as a centrifugal fan, sucking the hot air out. They allowed you to close the window completely (with the fan acting as a stopper) to keep thieves out and to keep rain out. They looked schweet at the time. I dunno if they are crap, or if they even exist anymore, but I always wanted to get one of them to try.

other than that, I agree with cracking the moonroof and buying a windshield screen. WalMart also sells little suction-in-place screens that you can put on the side windows to keep the light out, but you have to remove them before driving.

I purchased one of those super expensive custom fit sun shades, I love it! Yeah it costed a pretty penny but I love knowing that its protecting all of my dash board and keeping my car cool. I have 35% tint all around which helps a bit, and I keep the sunroof tilted.
