With all this B.S. talk from you guys about how you can beat Mustang GT's, I want to offer a challenge.

Any CL-S owner that lives within driving distance of Englishtown's Raceway Park (NJ) that would like to race against a brand new and totally stock 2002 Mustang GT 5 speed, well, I can set that up.

A co-worker of mine just picked up his new GT and is willing to race any of you guys for fun at E-town.

But since all the talk has been stock vs stock, I'd like to see a stock CL-S race him, especially an automatic CL-S. He will welcome any CL-S though, and I'd also like to see that match-up as well.

If any of you have the balls to race him, we'll put an end to all this trash talk.

Let me know.

Off the liine I stayed with the WS6 till about 45 and he pulled 1 car length on me the rest of the way... but when we rolled 55 and we both down shifted from 5th to 3rd I walked all over him... It was pretty pathetic... I drove his car and he drove mine after that and the same result.....

I love this guy....he wants a stock auto, to run a 5spd mustang....why not put an auto stang against an auto CL?

 

yea i wish i lived closer to Id love to run some Gt's considering i was smoking anywhere from 89 Gt's with head work I/E/H AQND 3.73's to 1996 modded Cobra's......

4.6 liter V8 lighter body more torque. Shouldnt you guys be a lot quicker.

 

Mustang GT are nothign espically a new one i raced one and it really didnt beat me nor did i beat him we stayed with each other the whole way that is until i hit 4th thats when he pulled half a car length on me ....thats where the Comptech headers in hopefully soon . But besides that there basically the same .

If this is really going to happen I suggest we go to Keystone Raceway on Tuesdays. They have Test and Tune on both Tues and Thurs now. I will video tape. My buddy went last week and he said he got seven runs in. I think that's enough runs to prove once and for all who's faster.

In fact, I might also run too in my Auto SS. What do the Mustang GTs run in the 1320 anyway?

 

I think Englishtown is the perfect place to see this, I personally think mustangs are sweet, as long as it's atleast a respectable GT. I'll bring my mini-dv since i'm on crutches, and i'll tape it. If this isn't happening anytime soon, then I'll be the auto CL-s driver in early September when my right foot should be healed enough to drive hard.

I ruined a Mustang yesterday. Yes a new GT. I wished I lived near English Town...you'd bet I'd be there.

 

I'm a 01 CLS auto. driver that is more than willing to admit stock for stock no way we can beat a same year or later V8 Mustang at a drag strip.
