Angry And a One, and a Two, And a F#@K THIEVES

yep, my car got broken into last night at the movie theater. I was in and out withint 1.5 hours. I was parked 40 feet from the main entrance. They didnt get away with anything, but I do have a major door ding from what seems to be a white car that slammed its door open too close to me and a busted passanger side window. Revenge will be mine.

Sorry to hear your car got broken into. SG81 is right, movie theater parking lots are death for our CLs. Hope you find the hoodlem and give em a good kick in the gonads.

That sucks man, but I did get a little amusement out of this quote since most car thieves are in/out of your car in <5 minutes.

thats why I park far away near no other cars... In big parking lots thieves wont have proper cover of other cars to work without notice. Less cars will park next to you, and your car will stand out if the alarm goes off... Some people see that and are just dicks and pull right next to you and ding you anyway... So far my CL is dent and scratch free except for a few chips on the driver side skirt. Former driver was a lady and her high heels did not like the side skirt.

Thats why I dont go to movies, you figure a thief knows the person is probably in there for atleast 2 hours or not coming right back out and have plenty of time to go through your car.

There are two locations I am going to setup the sting operation. First place will be where the Accord was stolen. for those who are from here, that is at Jotechs Motorsports parkin lot. THIEF HAVEN in garland. i went over a security camera footage from an adjacent gas station, and got a glimpse of the car that the guys were riding in. it was a light colored 4 door sedan with a spoiler. seemed like a galant or subaru. so i know what to look for there. then sting operation two will be at the theatre.

Since I had just washed my car an hour b4 going to the movies, it was spotless. When they dinged my door, the paint that was left behind was white. and the mark was very low on my door. My suspicions are a white civic or integra, dropped low on cut springs. Another clue was the paint was dry, and old, telling me a faded clear coat. So, most likely and older model civic or integra.

Now the fun begins.

most scuff marks are white on cars due to the clearcoat.

Guy in my parking lot at school seems to like wide turns, left a long white rub/scratch/dent from the middle of the driver's door all through the side panel above the wheel. No note, no cameras, no nothing. Had to pop out the dent with the jack-raiser thing just so the door wouldn't make a Godawful crunch when I open it.
The only good news is that this might be the excuse i need to get the exterior repainted....
