One Touch Window controls

Has anyone tried to convert their '01 window controls to One Touch Up (driver) and One Touch Down and Up (passanger)? I found an old (2001) thread that mentioned a Viper alarm that would do it but I was hoping there may be a better way to do it?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Dan

Which Viper alarm do you have? Did you install it? And do the aftermarket alarms replace the existing key fob? So I'd only lose the seat memory functionality? (not a problem since noone gets to drive my car 'cept me).

You do not need a Viper Alarm to do it.

All you need is a VIPER530T or TWINDOW Window Modules. Any sort of Window Modules will convert your switches to 1 touch up and down.

I have TWINDOW's because they're really reliable, but super expensive. $100 per module that does 1 window up and down. So I had to buy two.
If you use the Viper530T it will do 2 Windows up and down.

You do not need an alarm to interface this, but if you do have an aftermarket alarm, then you can roll your windows down with a touch of a button and roll them up again.

question: If you do the passenger window for 1-touch, does that also apply to the passenger button on the drivers side? or does it only work for the button on the passenger side, and you need another module to do the the other button?

Is it possible to find a stock module from from the drivers side and somehow wire it into the passengers window?

no. its built into the BCM
Unless you wanna buy a whole BCM and re-wire ur whole car.

But at that rate, whats the point ofs spending like $1000 for it when you can go aftermarket.

If you're worried about the longrun and failrate, spend the extra money, buy the TWINDOW's

I always thought you had to have an aftermarket alarm to get the benefit of 1 touch up. So if I am just using the stock Acura alarm, I can change the driver side to one touch up using one of the modules you mentioned?

How tough is it to install a module? I'm in Vancouver also, if it's not easy for DIY can you pls recommend a place? Thanks!
