Which One Satin Silver or Aegean Blue.
Which One Satin Silver or Aegean Blue.
I wish that the gold was a limited run on the 2002 Cl-S also because I didn't have the money to get a 2001 gold CL-S back then. But now i can't decide between the Aegean Blue or the Satin Silver Metallic. Please make suggestions on which color to get.
I got the Aegean blue. I didn't want the silver because it was too generic. It doesn't stand out and it's a color that everyone has. Though, the silver is a lot easier to keep clean. (That color always looks clean even if it's really dirty..)
But I think the blue is a lot more impressive..

If you want an eye-catching color that looks really trick, go with the Aegean Blue.
If you want to blend in, go with the generic-looking Satin Silver.
I like to maintain a low profile, sleeper look. That way they never know what hit 'em.

You can't go wrong with either color...but I chose the Monterey Blue because I figured there were too many SSM on the road already. Plus I genuinely think the Blue makes the CLS much more classier, even its tougher to keep it cleaned & detailed. Good luck!
I can tell you how I decided.
If I was going to own the car more than 3 years, Silver. It is easier to sell later (doesn't go out of style) and the paint is going to be easier to hide blemishes on.
If I was going to own less than 3 years go for the fun Blue. I would have to clean it more often but thats the fun of a new car anyway. Blue will not go out of style in 2-3 years.
As you can see in my sig. I went with blue (until the next CLK comes out.)

I went with the silver, and decided to baby the finish. It's amazing how a smooth, mirror-gloss finish stands out, no matter what color you have.
PS: regardless of what color you have, get out and DRIVE.

Try looking harder around the country, you might be able to find a PDG. I saw one recently on EBay in a very good condition with only 4k on it. I am sure you'll save a lot as well.
I have a silver, and it does not stand out. That blue is pretty good, but not sure it stands out either. Try RED, that will deffinetly get you attention

silver: classic color, easy to maintain, will age well, stealthy, but dime-a-dozen
agean blue: eye catching, trendy, prolly a little harder to maintain, cop magnet, possibly chick magnet
, will prolly be a fashion trend like when teal was the color to get for cars back in the 90's

All other things being equal, I prefer the look of the aegean blue.
However I live in Southern California and it gets HOT here. The day I bought the car I had one hand on the roof of the silver and the other hand on the roof of the blue. I couldn't keep my hand on the blue because it was so hot it was burning me.
I chose the silver because it reflects the hit a little better. Of course, this only matters if you live in a hot and sunny place.
Either is great though. Cheers.
