Once maintenance light reset

Did a search no findings that answer this question.
Ok, my maint req'd light wsa flashing for the last 1500 miles or so , now it just stays on. Will reset later today.
My question is, once reset, if there is truly a problem somewhere will the light automatically come back on.
Or, is it possible to be "hiding" a potential problem by just resetting ?

Had my windows retinted yesterday, they had to take out the back seat, but I doubt that any components other than the actual seats were touched.

the maintnence light is automated and comes on when you need service, they reset it and it'll come on 15K later.

It's the check engine light you need to worry about

The maintanence light really has nothing to do with the diagnostics of the car's computer. It's essentially a mileage counter that goes off every 7500 miles to remind you to maintain the car.

If you have a real problem the ECU will generate a code and the CEL (check engine light) will light up.

Hold and press the 2 odometer buttons (one is a reset, the other is a trip switch) BEFORE you start the engine. Once the engine starts, keep holding it until the light turns off.

Or just press and hold the bottons while turning to the Acccessory position and not fully starting the car.
