OK!! How much would you guys offer for this 2001 CL-S??

This car is a few blocks from my house and I've been mulling over making an offer on it:
http://www.ebizautos.com/smc/detail....CL/3.2-Type-S/ (click link and scroll down for photos)

**Before responding, NOTE the custom "pinstriping" and hood/trunk "personalization"**

Thoughts?

Why? What would you do with it?

Not even worth the headache or potential problems to save $.

no bad

For the proce that car is not too bad at all. You will need a good or afew good buffs and waxes but that price is low enough to make it work.

A) those scratches aren't going to buff out.

B) the car has door dings all over it.

to make it nice, the car needs a complete paint job.

i'd pay .38 cents and one chalupa, but ground beef only, not worth it to give her the steak version.

Other then paint, it could be a decent car. A complete paint job ain't gonna be cheap, so I'd lowball them with a 7 or 8K offer. It's probably already priced at $12K because it needs a paint job, but I wouldn't touch it unless I got a smoking deal.

everything mentioned above and the fact that there are 3 different types of tires on the car (2 dunlops, 1 michelin, and 1 goodyear), would steer me away. I would make an offer of 9 and see what happens, worst they can say is no!

Don't Do It!!!!

The condition of the car indicates it has not been cared for at all; you're looking at new brakes, tires, paint, filters, belts, oil, radiator, etc. Get ready to put out $5-6K.

Find one in good shape and save the extreme hassle. I know from which I speak.

Yeah, he does, but he doesn't talk about it much... I think he talks more about his penis (see thread in D&R) then he does about his car

I think he has a 2001, but I have no idea if it's a CLS or CLP, or wtf color it is...

I'd imagine it's a beige or green CLP... (old man's car). He talks more about his old Jeeps then about his current CL.

We can talk about him here cause I don't think he knows where the 2nd gen forum is

keyed CL

Thought you guys might get a laugh out of this (or a cringe)...
Apparently this was a girl's car, but it looks like she pissed off the wrong girl. Some internet car dealer has it listed on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=5332
Look at the pics of the hood and trunk lid...

Plus once you do major paint work on a car, you can kiss any chance of a decent resale goodbye. Trust me I've been there
